This region of East Anglia covers Norfolk, Suffolk and east Cambridgeshire.
Norfolk is a sleepy county with a superb unspoilt coastline, several nature reserves, picturesque villages and quiet country lanes. The Norfolk Broads is a network of inland waterways that are very popular for boating holidays.
Norwich, the county town, has an interesting castle, cathedral and a famous market.
King's Lynn is an historic port on the River Ouse. Along the coastline are classic holiday resorts at Wells - next - the - Sea, Cromer, Sheringham and Great Yarmouth.
South of the region is Suffolk, described by Constable and still relevant today, with "..it's woods and rivers, it's luxuriant meadow flats sprinkled with flocks and herds, it's well cultivated uplands with numerous scattered villages and churches, farms and picturesque cottages".
Tourists will want to visit Lavenham, a beautifully preserved medieval wool town with over 300 listed buildings, and Bury St Edmunds, with streets of 18thC facades.
Cambridgeshire is best known for it's beautiful University town. Cambridge is in the southern part of the county on the edge of the Fens, a flat fertile region once under water.
