was voted best antique town in 2001. Horncastle is a country
market town of great charm. The Romans built a fort here, possibly
on the site of an existing Saxon Shore Fort. The walls of the
Roman fort remain in places - one section is on display in the
town's library, which is built over the top of the wall. Horncastle
Swimming Pool offers numerous recreational and fitness activities.
Horncastle is 20 miles west of
Skegness, 18 miles east of Lincoln
