Hook is located in Hampshire, southwest of London on a direct
line from London Waterloo station. Hook lies on the A30, just
to the north of the M3 at Junction 5, about six miles from Basingstoke.
The village is close to the River Whitewater and to two areas
of common land - Hook Common and Bartley Heath. In the centre
of Hook Village stands a plough which was found half buried in
a field, and now stands as a reminder of Hook's agricultural
