Holyhead
is the largest town on the island of Anglesey and best known
for being a busy ferry port operating to Dublin. The superfast
ferry only takes 1 1/2 hours for the single journey. Crossing
time by Cruise Ferry 3 hours 15 minutes. The Port is situated
near to Holyhead town centre, and is reached by following the
A5 from the Midlands, or by the A55 from Chester. Once you reach
the Town Centre, follow the signs to the Ferries. Holyhead has
a number of interesting attractions and a good selection of shops.
The town centre offers a number of good places to eat, a theatre
and a cinema. Around Holyhead visitors can enjoy fishing, golfing
and sailing. |
