- The Old Post Office House Bed
& Breakfast was built in 1886 and is situated near Kyle of
Lochalsh on the loch side of the beautiful Wester Ross village
of Balmacara.
- The house has been offering
quality B&B accommodation for over 10 years with several
owners in that time.

- The property is south facing
and benefits from magnificent views across Loch Alsh towards
Skye. Kyle of Lochalsh, the gateway to the Isle of Skye is only
2 1/2 miles away, and enjoys a variety of facilities including
shops, banks, leisure centre with swimming pool and also is the
terminus for the Inverness to Kyle railway line.
- The picturesque village of
Plockton is also closeby.

- An extremely popular tourist
destination on Scotlands North West Coast, the area boasts a
large variety of leisure pursuits including hill walking, sailing,
mountain biking, fishing and photography.

- Balmacara is only 5 miles west
of the village of Dornie where the famous Eilean Donan Castle
is located.

- The house is situated alongside
the A87 which makes for an ideal location for your stay as you
explore the Scottish Highlands.
- The area is rich in wildlife
and if you are lucky, you may spot a dolphin, porpoise or otter,
all of which are common visitors to the loch!

making facilities along with complimentary bottles of Highland
spring water and biscuits are provided in all of our rooms.
- A hair dryer is also available
for guests use in each room.
- Please note: We regret we are
unable to accommodate children under the age of 12.
- Rooms are strictly limited
to 2 persons per room.
