ideal accommodation.
Halesowen is in the Borough of Dudley,
located to the south-west of Birmingham. Halesowen has excellent
access to the countryside, whilst being close to extensive road
links including junction 3 of the M5 motorway. It has a Norman
church, St John the Baptist. William Shenstone, the eighteenth
century poet, is associated with the town and the local theatre
and a Wetherspoon's are both named after him. Leasowes Park in
the town was once owned by him. Halesowen town centre was almost
completely rebuilt during the 1960s, as was a lot of new housing.
There are some Victorian and Edwardian properties left in some
parts of town. Halesowen is about 8 miles west of the centre
of Birmingham. Also see Halesowen
& Halesowen attractions.
