Haguenau lies 30km north of Strasbourg, near the German border.
To the north of the town, the Forest of Haguenau is the largest
undivided forest in France. Three gates from its former fortification
can still be seen, the Tour des Chevaliers, the Tour des Pêcheurs
and the Porte de Wissembourg. Attractive churches and buildings
adorn the pretty town with an ancient watermill and two fine
museums. |
