the Tarka Trail is nearby. from the old railway station you can
cycle north to Bideford, or south along the line of the old railway
track, through the quiet countryside to Petrockstowe and Meeth.
The town Museum is situated on the first floor of the old town
hall and depicts items from Great Torrington's past. Great Torrington
is 9 miles from Barnstaple &
5 miles inland of Bideford.
