Chesterfield Canal Trust. The Trust aims to
promote the full restoration and development of the Chesterfield
Canal. Already the Chesterfield Canal has much to offer; the
46-mile canal has narrow locks, wide locks, and tunnels. It originally
ran from the River Trent at West Stockwith to Chesterfield. It
is currently only navigable as far as Kiveton Park near Rotherham.
The section near Chesterfield offers the Tapton Lock Visitor
Centre at Tapton Lock, Lockoford Lane, CHESTERFIELD, Derbyshire,
