port immortalized at the begining of the century by some of France's
greatest painters and writers, Saint-Tropez in the Fifties became
one of the international jet set's favourite resort destinations.
The colourful old town; with its bustling little squares and
narrow streets, its picturesque houses and a marina that every
year attracts some of the world's most beautiful yachts, has
an air of being always in party mood.
A few hundred yards from the center of town, all along the length
of the Saint-Tropez peninsula, stretch miles of sandy beaches
lined with sweet-smelling pine forests while the backcountry,
