Frodsham is a small market town in
Cheshire. Approximately 4 miles west of Runcorn and just west
of the River Weaver, it overlooks the River Mersey estuary. In
medieval times, it was an important borough and port belonging
to the earls of Chester. Frodsham, and its neighbouring village
Helsby, has a hill overlooking the Mersey Estuary which is popular
with walkers. Frodsham is regarded as the best surviving example
of a planned medieval town in Cheshire with burgage plots (narrow
strips of land) lining the north side of Main Street and on Church
Street. Also see Frodsham & Frodsham attractions. If
you are in the right town but cannot find the accommodation you
