Gloucester & Sharpness Canal. A 16 mile
ship canal linking Gloucester to Sharpness Docks and the sea.
The Gloucester Docks features historic warehouses. The Sharpness
Docks continue to be used as a working port, but most of the
old warehouses have been replaced by modern facilities and a
marina. www.gloucesterdocks.me.uk. Runs from Gloucester to Sharpness on the banks of
the Severn, about 10 miles north of the Severn road bridge. It
runs through Frampton-on-Severn. |
