Folkstone is seven miles down the coast from Dover. A
ferryport and a resort town with a harbour and sandy beaches,
Folkstone attracts visitors with its narrow cobbled streets and
famous clifftop marine promenade, the Leas. The Victorian Leas
Lift transports you up and down from the Marine Parade to the
marine promenade. The Leas Lift works by pumping water into a
tank on the top car, which then swaps place with the bottom car. |

Sleeps 6. Located in a superb rural position with views over
the rolling countryside to the English Channel lies this converted
farm building - once a stable block. This property is ideally
placed for walking along the North Downs Way; Folkestone is 4
miles away where there is a weekly market, ferries for day trips
to France and within a short drive is the Eurotunnel terminal
and Ashford with its leisure centre, shops, pubs, restaurants
and new designer shopping centre. The nearby Alkham Valley is
a beautiful unspoilt area, ideal for walking, cycling and birdwatching
- there is a superb craft and garden centre, and country pubs
to be discovered along the way. Approached by an unadopted road,
the accommodation is single storey with slate roof, one of a
pair, well designed and beautifully built with stripped pine
fittings, sophisticated underfloor heating and a handmade kitchen..
Sleeps 4. Situated right on the seafront with it's balcony overlooking
the waves - this sweet first floor apartment is on a quiet no
through road so is a great place to de-stress! Pubs, restaurants,
swimming pool, golf course, spa, supermarkets and speciality
shops are all within a few minutes walk - so winter and summer
alike - it is the perfect holiday destination. Notes: Although
Hythe has a pebbly beach a small sandpit area has been specially
created opposite the apartments for small children to play.
