- Holly House
-
- At Holly House, we aim to provide
you with a most enjoyable and relaxing stay.
- Holly House is a comfortable
period home located in the Essex village of Ford End.
- We have two double rooms (one
can be converted into a twin) which share private facilities.
-
- Dating from the 1700s with
later additions, Holly House was the village shop and bakery
for more than 60 years. It became a private house in the 1960's.
-
- The two bedrooms, converted
from the shop storeroom, have high wooden ceilings and panelled
walls.
- They have hot drink making
facilities, mineral water, books and hairdryers. They share a
bathroom with a curved bath and power shower cubicle and a separate
WC.

 |
- A choice of breakfasts, including
full English breakfast, is served in the Georgian dining room
at a time to suit you.
-
- We are also happy to provide
evening meal if requested in advance. We bake our own bread,
make jam and grow vegetables and herbs.
-
- You have exclusive use of the
Victorian drawing room, formerly the shop, in which a coal fire
is usually lit on cold winter days.
-
- There is a television, piano
and a selection of reading materials. On warm days, please enjoy
our colourful garden.
