From Egham the county of Surrey lies within reach. It is in effect a rural suburb of southern London, cut through by the North Downs, a rolling swathe of hills formed from chalk. Within the M25, you will find Surrey's theme parks at Thorpe Park and Chessington World of Adventure, while south of the ring road are the county town of Guildford, the open heathland of Surrey's west borders and the castle at Farnham. The Surrey Cycleway offers one of the best ways of exploring the unexpected beauty of this county, a scenic cycle along country roads giving you the chance to explore some of the most beautiful parts of southern Surrey.
