Dungannon! Dungannon boasts a lofty hilltop position with
spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. An interesting
feature of the town is the former Police barracks. Legend has
it that the curious design of this building is due to the plans
for Dungannon being mixed up with those for a police station
to be built in the Khyber Pass in India. The once thriving linen
industry has now been replaced by glass-blowing, and the Tyrone
Crystal factory is a major visitor attraction in Northern Ireland. |
