- RHINS OF GALLOWAY
-
- The Rhins of Galloway Hotel
sits by the A77 in an acre and a half of lawned gardens, 20 yards
from the coast, and overlooking Loch Ryan.
-
- We offer Bed & Breakfast
accommodation with option of evening meal (please advise beforehand),
and also have a self-catering holiday flat.
-
- The building has been under
current ownership since May 2004, and although it has the scale
and design affording a hotel, it offers the friendliness and
prices that define a quality B&B.
-
- Whilst the bedrooms are decorated
with new furniture, the bedroom corridors and other communal
areas provide a mix of antiques and modern design.
|
 |
 |
- The food is simple and beautifully
presented, providing quality at a reasonable price, and opened
by the Duchess of Gloucester in 1943, the building itself boasts
a history that can make a place feel very special.
-
- We have a very large parking
area and cars may be parked close to entrances to hotel and flat,
but although all accommodation is on the ground floor, there
are several steps up to the main hotel, and a single step into
the holiday flat.
-
- The flat is not equipped for
disabled use, but it has been used by wheelchair users, and said
to be ideal.
|
- The entire
hotel is strictly non-smoking.
-
- Our bedrooms sleep between
1 and 3 people, but an additional cotbed can be made available
in family rooms if notice is given. A cot is also available.
As well as our en-suite bedrooms, we have a separate family accommodation
suite sleeping 4. Within this suite, is a vestibule, opening
onto double bedroom, twin bedroom, and bathroom.
-
- This accommodation unit can
also be used to provide either a double or twin bedroom at no
additional charge.
|
 |
 |
- We also have a holiday flat,
which will sleep 4 people, and is ideal for those wishing to
enjoy their own private living area.
-
- All bedrooms are double glazed,
have controllable heating, en-suite facilities, colour television
(with either DVD or radio & alarm), hairdryer, and well-stocked
courtesy tray with tea & coffee making facilities.
- Each bedroom has armchair or
sofa.
Iron & ironing board, alarm clock and portable fridge/warmer
are available upon request.
-
- Rooms are located on the ground
floor.
- Front rooms offer a view towards
the loch, with rear rooms overlooking surrounding hills and farmland.
On nicer days, the rear bedrooms enjoy early morning sunshine,
with the front rooms being the perfect vantage point to watch
some breathtaking sunsets.
