Downham
Market - Other information - St. Edmund
Church stands in a commanding position overlooking the town centre.
It dates from Norman times but was almost totally rebuilt in
the 13th century. In the Market Square you will find the Town
Hall (photo), built in 1887, and the Town Clock, (photo), a cast
iron structure in a Gothic style, given to the town in 1878. |
