Marlborough House   Marlborough House is an enchanting small hotel owned and operated by Laura and Charles Dunlap in a friendly and informal style.   Located in the heart of Georgian Bath, this impressive stone Victorian house has lovely spacious rooms furnished with beautiful antiques which have been assiduously chosen and elegantly assembled.   Built in 1867, Marlborough House is situated in the very centre of Bath, close to Queen Square and at the edge of Royal Victoria Park.   A short stroll up Marlborough Lane will lead you to the gates of this lovely park, where Royal Avenue presents a panoramic view of the gracefully imposing Royal Crescent, a fine example of Georgian architecture.   Only a few steps further will bring you to Baths' famous Circus and the centre of historic Bath, altogether a 5 minute walk from Marlborough House. ------------ The Garden Room We are the only Vegetarian B& B in Bath   We have been rated by the following Tourism Boards: AA - 4 Diamonds English Tourism Council - 4 Diamonds Green Merit Award   Marlborough House has seven bedrooms; every one handsomely furnished with antiques and containing either an antique wood four-poster, or a Victorian brass and iron bed. ------------ The Edwardian Room A gorgeous and spacious room decorated in turn-of-the-century antiques... Literally. It is located in an historic Georgian building called Abbey House, facing Abbey Green, with it's back to the Abbey (Bath's Cathedral) and the Roman Baths and Pump Room. The flat is on the top floor of Abbey House - about 4 stories up. Fortunately, there is a gracious stairway winding up to the top, which gives you many little landings to catch your breath. The flat has a kitchen, bathroom with shower, living room and bedroom with double bed. The rooms are charming, with great views from all the windows and are uniquely furnished with many quirky touches. It is very Bohemian and most of all: Romantic! The rate for the flat will be £95 per night, which includes all taxes and utilities. You can either cook your own breakfast or step down to the Abbey Courtyard and take your pick of the many famous restaurants near by. You will be in the exact centre of Bath and everything you can imagine is at your doorstep. Sadly, the flat is only available on weekends (Fridays and Saturdays).
