Darwen is a small market town in Lancashire.
The locals refer to themselves as Darreners. The town is spread
along the route of the A666 road, which joins Darwen to its bigger
neighbour, Blackburn, to the north. Darwen is home to the famous
100-year-old Darwen Tower. Darwen is a traditional market town
with a recently improved town centre, it also has a leisure centre,
an excellent market hall and the historic India Mill with its
well known chimney stack. Darwen is situated close to the M6
via the M65. The town is surrounded by moorland and has three
