- The The Pier House hotel over
looks the Charlestown harbour of St Austell Cornwall, the Pier
House was built in 1794 and was originally two farm cottages.
- It is situated on the picturesque
harbour of Charlestown.

- Charlestown is an unspoilt port,
constructed under the orders of Mr Charles Rashleigh, who later
gave his name to the village.

- The port was originally used by
the clay industry but is now home to three tall ships which may
be visited during the summer if they are in port.

- The ships and the harbour are
used frequently for filming, some of the most recent productions
being the TV series The Bounty, Longitude, Man to Man and Two
Men Went to War.

- From Charlestown you can take
a stroll across the cliff tops to nearby Porthpean Beach and
village or to Carlyon Bay and golf course in the opposite direction.

- There are two beaches close to
The Pier House Hotel, where swimming is safe and at low tide
the children can enjoy exploring the many rock pools or playing
on the sand.

- The Eden Project is only a few
miles away and there are also many other gardens to visit.

- Our Hotel bar is a free house
as is our new Harbour side Inn and both offer some fine real
ales and a choice of bar meals.

- We have a new patio with plenty
of seating where you can enjoy our food and drink whilst enjoying
the scenery. Our restaurant has seating for 80 people with its
own bar.

- We have a small dance floor which
can be used when there is a function. We offer a wide selection
of mouth-watering dishes from our á la carte menu and
a choice of Chefs Specials of the day, including many exciting
fish courses made from fresh locally caught fish.
