Coningsby attractions |
|
Coningsby is in the county of Lincolnshire, a rural
area of rolling countryside extending to the coast with long
sweeping beaches and popular seaside resorts. There are quaint
country market towns, imposing medieval churches, castles and
appealing villages. Lincoln itself is the region's outstanding
attraction, its cathedral is the third largest church in England.
The flat extensive fenlands of Lincolnshire are home to one of
the last areas in the country to rely on wind power in its mills,
where the remains of more than 130 windmills can be found. The
beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds with open rolling hills and steep
deep-sided valleys are a recognised Area of Outstanding Natural
Beauty. |
