meeting place where a market is held every Friday. The town is
also home to the University of Essex and is well known for its
links with the army which has a large garrison based in Colchester.
Walkers/cyclists can try the Wivenhoe Trail. Colchester
is 12 miles west of Harwich, 10 miles
NW of Clacton and 12 miles east of
