Access to the village is pedestrian only and by way of a path
leading from the Clovelly Visitor Centre down the cobbled street.
At the bottom lies Clovelly's stony beach and tiny harbour, snuggled
at the bottom of a cleft in the cliff wall. A lifeboat operates
from here and a handful of fishing boats are the only remains
of the once important fishing fleet. Charles Kingsley was born
