Cleethorpes
Pier was built in 1872 and opened on August Bank Holiday 1873.
It now measures 335 feet compared to its original 1200 feet.
The end used to reach the water even in low tide because of its
length. The pier is celebrating its 127th birthday in 2000. In
1985 it was transformed into a modern night club which held about
700 people. In Cleethorpes. |
