Osyth lies about five miles to the west of Clacton-on-Sea. The
Priory continues to be used as a home by its owners. The church
of SS. Peter and Paul and St. Osyth is a large and ancient structure,
originally built of rubble and flints. St. Osyth beech is a major
attraction. About 5 miles west of Clacton. |

Walton on the Naze is a traditional seaside
town with many of its original features still in evidence. Walton
Pier is one of the longest in the country and it has a history
stretching back to 1830. It serves as an amusement centre. Take
the train ¾ mile to the pier end. About 5 miles north of Clacton. |
