The Forest of Dean is an ancient forest covering
over 110 square kilometres of woodland, to the west of Gloucestershire,
between Wales and Herefordshire. The Forest of Dean offers stunning
landscapes and spectacular scenery, to its visitors, many of
whom return year after year. The Forest of Dean offers many activities
including walking, archery, cycling, caving, falconry, abseiling,
deer watching, golfing, quad biking, riding, rock climbing, off
road driving, or kayaking. You can visit working collieries,
steam railways, craft shops, iron age caves, formal gardens and
Museums, as well as the many beautiful towns and villages in

mine - If you are going underground you should wear practical
shoes and warm clothing and you will be fitted with a miner's
safety helmet and lamp for your trip undergound. The mine has
