in Christchurch! The medieval town of Christchurch nestles
between the New Forest and Bournemouth on the Dorset coast. A
beautiful coastline, peaceful rivers and spectacular natural
harbour makes Christchurch an appealing place to visit. Christchurch
town has existed in one form or another since the Iron age when
the area between the river Avon and the river Stour was used
as a trading point and safe mooring for visiting traders. There
are three areas in Christchurch where beach huts are situated:
Mudeford Sandbank, Friars Cliff Beach and Avon Beach. Christchurch
Bay has six safe, sandy beaches from Avon Beach at Mudeford,
to Highcliffe Beach at Highcliffe. There are fishing trips by
