	Cashel - Entertainment and attractions - The 28 meter round tower of Cashel stands high above the plain of Tipperary against the backdrop of the Galtee mountains. While the tower dates from the 11th century, the rock outcrop upon which it stands has fortifications from the early 4th century. The Rock of Cashel served as the traditional seat of the Kings of Munster, although the majority of buildings on the current site date from the 12th and 13th centuries. It is one of the most remarkable collections of Celtic art and medieval architecture to be found anywhere in Europe. Location: On the outskirts of Cashel.
