A forerunner in the luxury hotel business, the
Meurice Hotel in Calais, was destroyed during the Second World
War, and then rebuilt in 1954-1955. Retaining a lot of its original
charm and style the hotel offers a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
It is close to the train station and just 5 minutes from the
beach and just 10 minutes from the Channel Tunnel. The hotel
features 41 rooms all en suite and with hairdryer, trouser press,
tea making facilities and TV. A buffet breakfast is served in
the conservatory overlooking the inner garden of the hotel. |
