Baroque mansion built in 1701-3 which has remained virtually unaltered since the death of the last baronet, Sir Vauncey Harpur- Crewe in 1924. Set in 750 acres of beautiful parkland, 18th century stable block, Gothic-style church, walled gardens and restaurant. National Trust. Charges apply. About 6 miles east of Burton on Trent.
