Bed and breakfast in Boyle |
|
Welcome to our page of bed and breakfast in Boyle!
One of the chief towns of County Roscommon, Boyle has a pleasant
position at the base of the Curlew Hills and the north bank of
the river Boyle, which connects Lough Gara and Lough Key. It
is a good touring centre, with golf, tennis and river and lake
fishing. Launch trips and boats are for hire at Lough Key, ideal
for forest walks and first class fishing, with camping, caravan
sites, a restaurant, cruising and water sport facilities. The
town is located in the north of County Roscommon, lying 38 kilometres
from Roscommon Town, 15km from Carrick-on-Shannon, 40 km from
Sligo Town and 180 km from Dublin. There are several sites of
historic and architectural interest including the twelfth century
Boyle Abbey and the 18th century King House. The Shannon Waterway
was recently extended close to the town and the nearby Lough
Key Forest Park has opened a visitor centre, tree- top walk,
restaurant and an adventure-play kingdom. If you are in the right
town but cannot find the accommodation you want on this page,
you might consider Athlone hotels |
