Berck-sur-Mer

Berck, (Berck-sur-Mer) is situated just to the north of the estuary of the river Authie on the Opal Coast. It is a popular seaside resort with an immense beach of fine sand and impressive grassy-topped dunes facing north onto the Channel. Berck comprises two parts - to the east is the old fishing town of Berck-Ville and to the west is the seaside area of Berck-sur-Mer where land yachting and surfboarding are popular watersports. Berck lies at the centre of the Marquenterre regional park.

Nord-Pas de Calais

The busy coastline stretches from the Somme estuary to the Belgium border. White cliffs provide dramatic scenery along the Cote d'Opale.
