a village on the the A5 road in Snowdonia, about 6 miles south
of Bangor and the north Wales coast. It sits in a beautiful,
peaceful valley and offers stunning views of the mountains. The
village once thrived exporting stone and dark blue-green slate.
Most of the buildings in Bethesda are constructed of this same
stone, and have slate roofs. Bethesda offers several pubs. Bethesda
makes an excellent base for exploring Snowdonia National Park
and the Isle of Anglesey. The nearest airports are Manchester
