Barnstaple is the largest town in North Devon, sitting on the River Taw, north of wild Dartmoor and to the west of beautiful Exmoor, about 10 miles from the Bristol Channel. The Taw is spanned by the 15th-century Long Bridge. Today Barnstaple has a thriving, partly pedestrianised centre, with a traditional Pannier Market dating back to Saxon times. Barnstaple has many fine buildings, Normanton House and Queen Anne House are examples of 16th century buildings. Barnstaple is one of the most delightful country towns in England. 	Situated in the town centre, this former coaching inn retains all its original charm and character whilst offering every modern facility. All the bedrooms are comfortable and well appointed. Station: BARNSTAPLE. 0.5miles. From the M5 take Junction 27, A361 Barnstaple. Follow signs to the Town Centre. 1st roundabout take right exit, 2nd roundabout (Tescos) straight on, 3rd roundabout (McDonalds) straight on, 4th roundabout (Taw Garages) right exit, 5th roundabout (TA Centre) straight on 6th roundabout (Bus Station) right exit. Then take the next turning left into Silver Street, then take right hand junction into Wells Street, hotel is on the left hand side.

Station: BARNSTAPLE. 1mile. Travelling by car: from the M5, take Junction 27 to Tiverton. Then follow the A361 to Barnstaple. Continue to Victoria Road. Go straight on to Victoria Road. Turn right. The hotel is opposite Rock Park.

Approximately 2 miles, turn right at the Roundswell Services roundabout. (brown sign Brannam Potter) straight on at both roundabouts to the Cedars roundabout, the hotel is directly in front of you.

Station: BARNSTAPLE. 0.5miles. From M5, take Junction 27, A361 Barnstaple. Follow signs for Town Centre. You will pass Tesco & McDonalds. At the next roundabout go straight on. The road will then fork right, on your left will be Rock Park. Follow road for 400 yards, the hotel is on the right.

Station: BARNSTAPLE. 2miles. Please note: check in is from 3pm onwards. Exit junction 27 M5 for the A361(signposted Tiverton/Barnstaple). Continue on the A361 for approximately 40 miles taking the first exit onto the A39. Continue on the A39 and take the 3rd exit at Roundswell roundabout. Bear left into lane marked Travelodge and follow signs.
