Barneville Carteret - Normandy
 |
 |
 |
|
Barneville-Carteret is located in
the Manche department in the Basse-Normandie region in northwestern
France. The small town went through a revolution at the end of
the 19th century. The sea-bathing fashion transformed this humble
fishing and coastal navigation port into a famous and lively
sea-resort. In less than twenty years hotels and "villas"
were built to accommodate the holiday makers coming from Paris
by train. Barneville-Carteret is a family seaside resort, beautifully
situated on the Carteret cape on the Cotentin, opposite the island
of Jersey and the islets of the Ecrehou. |
