During the summer months Barmouth is one of the busiest
seaside towns in Snowdonia. It has a popular beach with soft
sand and a long promenade walk. The main attraction in Barmouth
is the harbour where sea fishing trips are available. Barmouth
offers speciality shopping. Parking can be difficult at peak
times. Barmouth's old town has steep steps and slate-roofed cottages
on the side of a mountain. Barmouth is situated on the west coast
of North Wales, between mountains and sea on the mouth of the
river Mawddach is a beautiful location. Barmouth harbour is beautiful
and you can walk across the spectacular Barmouth Bridge spanning
