Life is a 10 acre Country Park and Wild Life Nature Reserve,
with its own small, lovely lake (200 yards from the house, unfenced
and fairly deep, therefore we do not advise bringing very young
children). The Park is situated at the foot of the Nant Francon
Pass that runs through the picturesque Snowdonia National Park.

Bangor has a long history which can be traced back to
525 AD. Changes in the route from London to Anglesey and Ireland
put Bangor on the main route between London and Dublin. Bangor
grew and the population increased, soon becoming the most important
town in North Wales. The pier was opened in 1896 and thousands
of holidaymakers landed there each summer from the Liverpool
pleasure steamers. The University of Wales in Bangor offers a
wide range of degree and postgraduate courses. Bangor sits alongside
the Menai Straits 9 miles from Caernarfon
16 miles west of Llandudno.
