Ballinasloe is a town in County Galway
in the Republic of Ireland. The town is situated east of Galway
city, in the western part of the midlands of Ireland. Ballinasloe
lies at the most southerly point of the River Suck. It is primarily
a market town; however, there is also a significant manufacturing
sector. The town is now principally recognised for the Great
October Fair. This fair has been conducted since the early 18th
century.
