famous building in the town, King Johns Hunting Lodge,
is set in the square and houses the Axbridge and District Museum.
Axbridge has a good supply of specialist shops, galleries, cafes
and restaurants and is only a few minutes drive from Cheddar
Gorge. The nearby Mendip Hills provide numerous opportunities
for walking, cycling and other outdoor pursuits.Axbridge, only
a small town but has a medieval market square and timber framed
buildings. Axbridge is only a few miles from Cheddar Gorge.
