Annan Travel Information
|
The historic Royal Burgh of Annan is a small
border town set on the River Annan, 16 miles from Carlisle or
Dumfries and only 8 miles from Gretna Green. It lies at the start
of the lovely Solway Coast Trail - a drive along quiet roads
to a wealth of castles and abbeys. With a lovely sandy beach
just 3 miles west at Powfoot, this is a superb place from which
to explore an unspoilt area, either on foot or by car. |
