Alva is a small town in Clackmannanshire, Scotland, north of Alloa along the B908 and set against the background of the Ochil Hills. The town developed during the 18th and 19th with textile mills withthe waters of the Alva Burn which flows down from the hills. Knitwear is still produced and the Mill Trail Visitor Centre has a working mill. The largest mill building in the Strude Mill complex has been restored and converted to flats.
