Estuary of the River AlnWelcome to our page of accommodation in Alnmouth! Northumberland has some of the cleanest beaches in England and every major beach is recognised by the Environment Agency for this. Alnmouth is no exception with its soft, golden sands on the north side of the pretty, red-roofed holiday town. Once an important grain-shipping port (and reputedly a smugglers haven) Alnmouth is now a holiday resort with yachting a favourite pastime. Some of the granaries have now been converted to houses. Alnmouth has one of the oldest golf courses in England. There are cafes and shops in the village.
