sands on the north side of the pretty, red-roofed holiday town.
Once an important grain-shipping port (and reputedly a smugglers
haven) Alnmouth is a holiday resort with yachting a favourite
pastime. Some of the granaries have now been converted to houses.
Alnmouth has one of the oldest golf courses in England. There
