- Cotterill Farm
-
- Four award winning stone cottages
on our non-working farm, (on which are two wild meadows, as well
as a substantial hay-field) situated in a glorious location over
looking dales and rolling countryside adjacent to a nature reserve,
through which a path leads on its way to the River Dove. Dovedale
is just over one mile downstream.
-
- The 12 acres of land, on which
the cottages are situated, are surrounded by footpaths and bridleways,
and the popular Tissington (cycle) Trail is one mile away with
two further trails within 3 miles of us.
-
- The village of Biggin-by-Hartington
is just 350 yards from the end of our drive and the highly acclaimed
village of Hartington, which can be reached by a number of bridleways,
is just one mile away.
-
- The location is central within
the Peak district and thus are very well placed for the major
tourist attractions, such as Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, the Castleton
Caverns and the market towns of Buxton, Bakewell, Ashbourne and
Leek all within 15 minutes drive away.
|
 |
- All cottages are consistently
and comfortably classified by the English Tourism Council as
4 Star, (and under the old grading system as Highly Commended,
but despite this we continually strive to improve standards.
Thus within the last year new kitchens
with solid oak units, gloss work-tops real stone granite sinks
and halogen cookers have been fitted, and all cottages have DVDs
now, in addition to the misc centres, radios videos and TVs (the
four person cottages each have two TVs).
