Tenterden lies on the border of the dense woodlands
that run down to the Romney Marshes. Tenterden was once an important
centre of the Broadcloth manufacturing industry. Today, Tenterden
is a pleasant, prosperous country town with locally-owned shops,
restaurants and cafés. Tenterdens beautiful architecture
includes white-painted weatherboarding. The beautiful church
of St Mildred dates from 1180. It has a carved wooden ceiling
dating from the 15th Century, and a tower made of marble. The
Kent and East Sussex Steam Railway runs a service from Tenterden

there are many lovely walks in the vicinity. The small village
of Frittenden has a popular pub and small shop and is ideally
located for exploring the many attractions in the High Weald
of Kent - Sissinghurst Castle Gardens is a pleasant 2 mile walk.
The barn has been converted to a very high standard providing
exceptional comfort for two guests. The full height of the barn
creates a wonderfully spacious living area with solid wood floors
and double doors to a paved terrace and garden. Orginal beams
have been retained and in one corner is a very effective woodburner.
