ideal accommodation from our list of hotels in Aberfeldy and
the surrounding area.
Aberfeldy is a largely Victorian town,
sitting at the point where the Urlar Burn flows into the River
Tay, 6 miles from Loch Tay. The small town centre is a busy mix
of craft and tourist shops, its main attraction the beautifully
restored early 19th century Aberfeldy Water Mill. The famous
Wade's Bridge spans the Tay here, with its humpback and 4 arches,
built by General Wade in 1733 and overlooked by the Black Watch
Monument. Nearby is Castle Menzies, an imposing Z-shaped 16th
century tower house. Aberfeldy makes a good base for exploring
the area. Also see Aberfeldy
